An avid sportsman, he was known for his years of refereeing hockey and umpiring baseball. He was an original member of the Port Dover Oldtimers’ Hockey Team and played for them for many years. His biggest passion was for the game of golf which he played whenever possible, including making his own clubs! Throughout his life his focus was always on his family, always there to help with any job or repair and always at the sports games of his children and grandchildren. His happy smile and cheerful nature will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
