MONTGOMERY: William David (AKA Santa Clause)- Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, October 20, 2017 in his 73rd year. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary Montgomery. Loving husband to Elaine. Dear father of Bill (Blanche) Montgomery, Kathy (Ron) Socha, Chris Montgomery, Steve (Denise) Montgomery, Jennifer (Brian) Kay, David (Tammy) Zimba, Julie (John) Cotter, Francine (Ted) Payne and Joe (deceased Sylvie) Zimba. Predeceased by his son Christopher Zimba. Loving grandfather to 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and also survived by his sister Shirley. William worked at Dom Glass for 33 years. His love for the outdoors could find him riding his motorcycle with his friends at the Southern Cruisers or at his special fishing spot. He enjoyed his old car, playing music and eating his favorite donuts. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Branch # 158 of the Royal Canadian Legion, 212 Market Street East, Port Dover from 12:30 till 3:30 p.m. For those wishing to make a memorial donation in William’s name they are asked to consider Camp Trillium Rainbow Lake. D’Hondt, Dennis CPA, CMA, passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2017 at Stedman Community Hospice, Brantford in his 69th year. High school sweetheart and beloved husband of 47 years to Kathi (Buckle). Loving father of Michael and Bradley (Allison). Proud Grandpa of Jennifer, Rachel, William and Emily. Dear brother of Dolores Cleaver, Rita Benoit and Gloria D’Hondt. Survived by brothers-in-law Tom (Pam) Buckle, Steve (Sandra) Buckle, sisters-in-law Jacqui (Ian) Ward and Pat D’Hondt and daughter-in-law Jolene D’Hondt. Predeceased by parents Aime (1970) and Madeleine (2009) D’Hondt and brother Roger (2011). Dennis is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dennis enjoyed his career as an accountant. In his spare time, Dennis liked to travel and to attend 50’s and 60’s music concerts and classic car events. Dennis was also a volunteer with Waterford Pumpkinfest for many years as the craft show organizer, Pumpkinfest treasurer and co-ordinator of the Boy Scouts World’s Tallest Scarecrow project. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Canadian Legion Branch #123, 223 Nichol St., Waterford on Sunday October 29th from 2pm to 4pm. Casual attire preferred.
