Dufresne, Maurice “Moe”: The family announces with sorrow the passing of Maurice “Moe” Dufresne, in his 63rd year at the Norfolk General Hospital in Simcoe. Moe is predeceased by his parents Anita and Real Dufresne of Pickerel River, brother Claude, and his sisters Elaine McDonald and Claire Gervais. He will be greatly missed by his dear brothers Gerald (Elise) of Garson and Richard (Anne Marie) of Wasaga Beach, by his nieces and nephews Jeffery, Trevor, Jennifer, Colleen, Scott, Marc, Shawn, Jenna, Kean and great-nieces and nephews, as well as, his good friend Richard Ross. BUTCHKO – John: Passed away at Parkview Meadows, Townsend surrounded by family on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 of Simcoe at the age of 83. Son of the Late Michael and Katherine Butchko. Much beloved husband of Lillian (nee: Harding). Loving father of Jeffrey (Maria), Jeannine (Rick Banks), James (Hollie), Kevin Pickard (Gwyn), Janice (nee:Pickard) (Jeff Ransome). SEITZ CHRISTOPHER KARL:(1964-2018): Suddenly as the result of a motor vehicle accident, our hearts are forever shattered by the loss of an amazing husband, father, grandpa, son, brother, uncle and friend. Chris a long time resident of Port Dover is survived by his loving wife Tracey (Stire) his son Collin and wife Diana (Malinowski) and his precious granddaughter Adeline of Woodstock. Also survived by his mother Sonja Seitz of Beamsville, his 4 sisters Sylvia Maskell and her family of Ancaster, Evelyn Taylor and her family of Ancaster, Ingrid Gillie and her family of Hamilton, Iris Millen and her family of Grimsby. His mother-in-law Betty (Stire) and Tracey’s siblings Chris Stire of St.Thomas and his family, Heather Hubers (Stire) of Cheapside and her family. Corey Stire and his family of Brantford. Predeceased by his father Karl (2001) father-in-law Walter Stire (2018), brother- in-law Hugh Maskell (2017) and his nephew Jared Taylor (2012). He loved his family beyond words and will be sadly missed by many friends whom he always had time for, a kind word or deed. He was a devoted and faithful servant of Jehovah for 36 years, and spent much time practicing his faith and in the preaching work. Chris was employed at Rassaun Services Inc. for 23 years and will be missed by all who worked with him. There will be a memorial service on Sunday November 4th at 2:30 pm at THE PORT DOVER COMMUNITY CENTRE, St. George St. Port Dover. Cremation has taken place. BEETON (Clarke) – Helen Eileen: Passed away peacefully with her family at her side at The Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 in her 86th year. Loving mother of Siobhan Beeton, Michael (Chris), Kevin (Cindy) and was predeceased by sons Bernie and Tom. Cherished grandmother of Ashley Butler (Jason), Jessica Dertinger (Kyle), Caley Teall (Jeff) and great-grandmother of William, Benjamin, Claire, Austin and Tyler. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews with extended family in Canada and the U.K. Born in Listowel, Ontario. Helen began her early career working at the C.I.B.C. bank until transferring to London, Ontario. In 1960 she moved to Simcoe, Ontario to raise her family working at Good Humor – Breyers until her retirement. She loved to travel and after discovering her ancestral roots she developed a passion for Scotland where she visited over 5 times. She also enjoyed visiting the Casinos, playing slots into the wee hours. Often having a book by her side, she was an avid history buff, friends marveled at her ability to recall long past events, dates, etc. Having a great love for animals, her household was never without a pet. The neighborhood squirrels, birds, feral cats and occasional skunks and possums were always fed. GOODLET, Donald Joseph Wyatt: Passed away peacefully at Norfolk General Hospital with his family by his side on October 17th, 2018 in his 89th year. Wyatt was born and raised on the family farm. He drove school bus for thirty years as well as ran the family farm. Son of the late Lorne and Lucy Goodlet. Predeceased by his older brother Ross (1985) and infant son Steven (1962). Much beloved husband of Sylvia Goodlet (Rewutzsky) for sixty years. Loving father of Lorne (Susan), Stan, Robert (Loraine), and Sharon (Robert) Coutch.
