Well well well. Marcel knew mom and dad very well, and all the Gevaert children. He sang for my parents’ funerals, Onze Lieve Vrouw Van Vlaanderen. Proud Flem. Proud Canadian. We knew him since 1951, when we immigrated. Sad for your loss. Rosa Gevaert

My parents knew Marcel very well and I have fond memories of Marcel’s visits to our farm.
Marcel was also close to my uncle the Rev Cyriel Moeyaert of Langemark Belgium. Cyriel and Marcel both attended St Josef’s college in Roeselare during the early part of the 1940’s Marcel spoke excellent Flemish and came from that generation that came from Belgium to the tobacco region of Delhi.Marcel new all the old Flemish song’s and sang them along with playing his accordion. If my recollection serves me right Marcel was in the Insurance business until he retired.
The Wybo/Moeyaert/Dekeyser family send their condolences to the Lannoo family.

Our most sincere condolences to the family and far-reaching multitude of friends. He was a “true Belgian” in every sense of the word, from playing the accordion to rabbit & deer hunting. Always a true sportsman in everything he did. He will be surely missed ….
